"I own a 12 foot aluminium boa

"I own a 12 foot aluminium boat with a very good condition Mercury 15hp. It tends to push the boat along at very steep angle. I need my mate to lean forward onto foredeck, plus distribute most weight foward to get 'proper' plane then goes like all stink. Tried all trim positions, the closest in to hull workes best. The cavitation plate is approx 50mm below hull. Would raising it 30 - 40 mm make much difference?"

HAVE YOU TRIED A DOEL-FIN TYPE

HAVE YOU TRIED A DOEL-FIN TYPE HYDRO-FOIL?. IN TERMS OF THE CAV. PLATE IT SHOULD BE FLUSH W/THE BOTTOM OF THE HULL +/- 1 "

"Thanks Mark. I've bolted

"Thanks Mark. I've bolted a Square Hollow Aluminium section to top of transom, raised motor 30mm, brings it to within the range you suggest. If that doesn't fully solve the problem will try hydrofoils.

Thanks again"
