Low speed idle problem on 150 johnson ocean pro 2001

"The boat will not stay runnin

"The boat will not stay running very good at low speed. When you pull up to a dock,or other slow speed manuvers, the boat will die constantly. It will restart easily, but sometimes when you really hammer it, it will die."
 
Hey Jeff...engine should idle

Hey Jeff...engine should idle at about 850-900 RPM's in neutral...Also make sure that all of the linkage is moving properly....also do a compression check..all cylinders should be within 10% of each other...Post back what you find....

"What plugs are You using? and what do they look like?(color). The idle adjustment on this engine is done by timing adjustment, but do not re adjust unless You have found the reason for the bad idling. Take a compression check if possible."
