"I have a 1990 Four Winns Liberator 221 with the 7.5L 460 King Cobra motor. The mechanic tells me that the ICM (ignition control module) is bad, and thats why it runs fine in neutral, but only 2000 RPM at 10MPH in gear in the water. Problem is, the part is now obsolete and OMC doesn't have it or a replacement.
1. Does anyone know where I can get an ICM?
2. Has anyone ever swapped out a similar ICM, or done a full conversion to some other source of igntion?
