"due to very heavy rains in ma

"due to very heavy rains in maryland my sons boat went under today.Did get it out and emptied water. Motor was under for about 10hrs. Pulled out plugs and rotated to blow out any water, sprayed in lube and repeated 3x. Also sprayed carb. and linkage. What else should be done? Motor is a 2001 15hp Merc."

"Dennis, If the motor sunk in fresh water and you haven't run this motor for 1 hour by now, it is likely junk. If it sunk in salt water, and you didn't tear it down and clean it up immediately, it is junk."
