"This is a 94 model that now has thrown the flywheel magnets 3 times. Merc fixed it twice because of extended warranty, but this time It's my nickle, any suggestions on what may be causing this, it also eats up the stator in the process."
 
had a similar problem once. tu

had a similar problem once. turned out to be a loose ground.arcing would cause occasional spurios spark. was jerking the magnets loose. this should be visible with a timing light.
