My 99 Johnson 90hp was running

My 99 Johnson 90hp was running fine when it suddenly lost power. It would lose power then kick in and run fine then lose power again. Cycle last about 8 seconds on then off. If I push in primer it runs fine. Any ideas?
 
Sounds like its carb cleaning

Sounds like its carb cleaning time..! The fact that it will run with the primer tells that the carbs are the problem...
