Intermittent over heat alarm

"i have a two honda 225hp engi

"i have a two honda 225hp engines on a 25' SAFE boat and they are both having intermittent over heat alarms all throw the power band i have changed the thermostats and re built the water pump. both engines have good discharge. the port engine only has 80 hours the stbd has just over 1000 hours, but i have tried everything in the book all the temp sensors are with in specs.
if anyone has any other suggestions i would greatly appreciate any help. THANKS"

"well opened the pressure reielif up and it looks good everything clean inside. I just put this engine on 80 hours ago because the old engine (2000 underway hrs)was doing the same thing but more often, is there anything on the boat side that could be causing this type of issue.if you have any else i would appreciate it."
 
"there was nothing to clean,

"there was nothing to clean, we changed the O2 sensors and it stopped the high temp alarm. i never got a stored code for the O2, and my HDS had the O2 sensors in spec. im just going to chalk it up to PFM.
