"2002 F25ESHA 4 storke carborator seem to overload and engine will not start. Motors start and runs rough until warm. I have to keep the throttle open all the way until it does warm up. Once under way when I throttle up and then back down several times quickly the engine shuts off and will not start. It will spin but will not fire.
I removed the carb and cleaned it using automotive carb cleaner, blowing out every hole in the carb. I did not soak it in a carb cleaner solution and I have not changed the plugs.
After I clean the carb, the motor will start and run, idling perfectly but when I throttle up and down several times to the motor starts to run rough and shuts down. After that it will not start. I have had it “back fire” when throttling up and down. I do see gas around the motor and on the water. Do I need to remove and clean the carb soaking it or am I having a problem with the primary starter assembly."
