Clinton model K700's were

Clinton model K700's were built between 1972-75. Most were built for Montgomery Wards and sold under the brand name "Sea King".

From your numbers it appears you have one that was sold under the Clinton name.

I can't narrow it down to an exact year for you. Clinton's records are difficult to come by. They went bankrupt at least once back in the 60's and then got out of the outboard business all together in about 1980.

The motors were considered "ahead of their time" often leading the way in outboard innovation...

"I have an engine that I think is a Clinton air cooled. It has no decals, but has two metal tags. One tag has #103752 stamped in the metal. The other tag has two numbers: 642-078 and 6269156.
Can anyone identify this engine.
