"We have been doing a lot of trolling for
Hybrid Stripers down here in Texas lately.
I have this 150 Intruder pushing my center
console. I have heard the Intruder is not a
great choice for trolling but thats what I got.
SO,, She really does idle and troll great as long
as I squeeze the bulb about every 5 to ten minutes
of trolling at @ 1200 RPM. If I dont, she will
start to cough or maybe spit a little. I am
running a filter/seperator in line and change
the canister every year. I am running pre mix.
All other aspects of performance are good.
As long as I do the sqeeze play from time to time
she trolls along really sweet and smooth. She
always idles fine too. I'm wondering if the
fuel pump is getting week. The tank is in the
belly of the boat, @ 11 feet of fuel line, the
motor is on a jack plate @ 6" above the transome.
THANK YOU ALL FOR ANY IDEAS....HOUTEX"

"The anti syphon valve is new and OMC brand.
Its a 93 150 intruder "looper".
The bulb dosn't deflate but when I squeeze it,
One squeeze may be solid, the next soft.
No gas fumes.....THANKS FOR THINKIN ON IT,,

"If possible hook up a fuel pressure tester after the VRO and check for steady pressure.
When at idling try to listen if You may hear a 'click' every 15-20 sec from the VRO. If more frequent, may be a problem in the fuel pump part of the pump, if longer interval may be the air motor or even worse. Do a compression test!"

I had the same problem on a 90

I had the same problem on a 90hp Johnson turn out to be a bad fuel pump diafram in vro pump I rebuild pump and hook it back up I am not premixing any more (which I was before Problem) and now it trolls like a dream
