"Guys,
just rebuilt my raw water cooled LM318 stem to stern (kinda).
I'm running it in the shop to make sure all is well before I install it. To get water to it, I put the water pump intake hose in a bucket and keep it submerged. My question is: When running I get a lot of exhaust water thru the exhaust on the pump side. I get minimal water thru the exhaust on the opposite side. Temps are near identical on both sides. I seem to have adequate flow through the engine and manifolds. Does the water bypass to one side Vs the other? Should the exhaust water be equal on both sides?"

Does the water bypass to one side Vs the other?

No.

Should the exhaust water be equal on both sides?

Yes.

Look for a blockage where the water and exhaust finally join up. You might have to rod the holes out with an 1/8 inch piece of welding rod in a drill.
