"Just hung a Yamaha F40BMLH, manual start 4stroke. Bought it under the impression it had an alternator, and all online specs agree. I'd like to connect it to my little trim tab battery to keep it charged. Would the wires be inside the cowling, and do I need a rectifier/regulator? Thanks for any info.
