Anyone know the model of Champ

Anyone know the model of Champion plug for this motor? I have googled it with no luck. I also read that you may not want to use the exact model that is currently in the motor since gas has changed/modified. Is this correct?

"Patrick..... Your engine's (1977 70hp Evinrude/Johnson) ignition is what is called "Magneto Capacitance Discharge" ignition. It is a "CD" ignition system.

The original recommended gap was .040 and remained that way until some point in the early 1990's. If the .030 gap gives you a problem, try the .040 setting."

"Sorry to have confused you. As Joe says that engine has CD ignition. the point is with CDI you should not use a plug with a high resistance suppressor, hence the inductive ones. Identified by Q in Champions and Z in NGKs.
