Force 70 HP outboard carburato

Force 70 HP outboard carburator? What kind of carburator should it have? I am interested in buying a boat with a Force 70 HP outboard and it does not have a carburetor. Does anyone know what it is and where I can locate one. Model numbers?
 
Do you have the serial number

Do you have the serial number of the motor? Depending on the year it may be hard to find that carb new.

"I'm with Andrew. The 70 horse Force models were purely a creation by Merc. They did however use old Tillotson carbs which Merc stopped using on their own models in the late 70's.

Tillotson got out of the carb business so may be difficult to find an original. However, if you don't mind taking a chance, if the price of the motor is decent, you can probably find a Walbro carb that can be made to fit and otherwise function ok on that particular motor.."
