I find it interesting that within a weeks time of the sticker you received the e-mail. It seems as though you may have been the victim of a practical joke. If so, it seems as though it may be someone who knows you and your e-mail address.
Luckily my friend had told me not to stop as it could be someone waiting for me to get out of the car. Then we received this email yesterday:
Possibly your friend."

Actually we got the same warning from our local detectives on the same type of thing. In our small community 3 cars were taken.
