"I'm looking at a used stainless steel solid hub propeller, my present aluminum prop uses a flo-torq hub kit. Do I need a prop that uses the flo torq system or can I use this solid hub prop??

What's the pro's and con's on solid verse flo torq hub's??

Thanks."

Sage advice with an SS prop is

Sage advice with an SS prop is to use a Flotorq hub. This will slip and give on a prop strike and save your drive leg from the worst of the from impact shock.

Aluminum props have enough give to not need Flotorq hubs.
Aluminum props flex more under load also.

Thanks for all the input. Read

Thanks for all the input. Reading up on it some more I like the safety of the flo torq hub so I think I'll stick with that. My first choice for a stainless prop is the Revolution 4. Any thoughts as to it's value as an upgrade??

Thanks.
