I HAVE A 1991 EVINRUDE 200XP V

I HAVE A 1991 EVINRUDE 200XP V-6 60 DEGREE LOOPER
JUST HAD THE POWERHEAD REBUILT. PUT IT ON THE WATER AN NOW THE ENGINE WON'T TURN OFF WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED OFF. THE ENGINE WILL IDLE DOWN BUT WILL CONTINUE RUNNING. GROUNDED IGNITION KILL WIRE(BLACK AND YELLOW WIRE) STILL WON'T TURN OFF. NEED HELP! THANKS

I had this happen on a 1994 15

I had this happen on a 1994 150 fast strike after a powerhead rebuild. Turned out to be a bad engine ground (from painting block). Do not stop fuel flow to stop motor (damage)! I used the primer on the ignition switch to stop it until I got it fixed.
