"From the early 80's to the early 90's should work..also, you can use a V-6 lower unit...I am running one on my 84' 90HP. and it gives a lot more power..!"
 
"A V6 lower will bolt up, but

"A V6 lower will bolt up, but the gear ratios are different. If it were mine, I would stick with a V4 lower. Try Ebay."
