"I have a KAD44 in a 8.5m RIB which has developed an overheating problem, I left the boat afloat for 3 weeks whilst away on holiday and when I returned the was a huge amout of weed and barnacle growth all over the DP leg . After starting up and idling for around 20 minutes I moved off at about 3000 rpm, very soon the temp warning light came on and gauge went over 200.Water in sealed system overflowing the expansion tank.
I was towed home and removed boat from water . I have cleared all the weed etc from the leg replaced the raw water impellor and flushed through where I can with a standard hose. Tested the boat again and the same problem occurs .It does not overheat on idle .Is it a good idea to flushe through with a jet wash? What other parts should I be looking at .
Many thanks in advance for any help ."

Check your exhaust elbow. If

Check your exhaust elbow. If it's clogged that your problem. It was my problem. Idle was fine ...as sson as you apply some speed the elbow can't handle the excess water and heat. I had to get a new one.
Good luck
