thanks for all this great info regarding my 5.0L going from two barrel carb to a performance 4 barrel and a manifold is exactley what is needed ... why the air gap manifold can i use a performer what is better ???

"The air gap is just that. It has a air gap under it and will "keep" the air/fuel cooler......It also I believe is a bit higher.

If you are doing this to a 305 the carb you choose will be very important!!!

You do not want to over carb it. I would contact a good carb remanufacturer.
