Battery connection help

Disconnected battery and gotten a new one. Dumb self didn't pay attention to the cables. Put new battery in now my areator doesn't work, the tac gas gauge and the lighting on those 2 guages don't work. All 3 were working perfect until I changed batteries. Could I have gotten some of the cables mixed up putting back on the battery? ALso I have a wire that I touched to the negative side of the battery and it started sparking. I guess this means it goes the the positive? When I figure this out I will bundle them together this time. Everything else works great. THe nav lights, starts right up, trim, and trolling motor."

Sounds like you have blown some fuses. Also check your rectifier as you probably blew it when you caused those sparks.

i changed my batterys around and did the same thing.....i am also going to upgrade my rec to a newer model regulator. you can see my questions and answers here
