i know that marine engines are

i know that marine engines are different than automotive engines but some parts are interchangable. what engine can i get parts for the 125a from thanks
 
I have a 120 b......I removed

I have a 120 b......I removed an engine from an 82 volvo 240 sedan and made it marine.....LOVE IT!!!!
 
how much modifying did you hav

how much modifying did you have to do to make it marine? will any other moter work or does it have to be a volvo to use with that outdrive?

1) how much modifying did you have to do to make it marine?

ANSWER: You basically take everything externally off your present VP motor and install it on a good Volvo longblock then replace the auto camshaft with your AQ125A camshaft.

2) will any other moter work?

ANSWER: The short answer is no.

3) or does it have to be a volvo to use with that outdrive?

ANSWER: Short answer is Yes. A Volvo 4 cylinder to match to your present drive.
