Oil Dip Stick for a 225hp 305K Marine Power Engine

I have a 1982 225hp Marine Pow

I have a 1982 225hp Marine Power Corp. fresh water cooled 305K engine installed in a 25' Catalina Express. The old oil dip stick broke at its tip so I bought a new one but it came with a slightly different "cap" at the top. Does anyone know what the total length of the original dip stick was and what was the measurement from the bottom "tip" to the Full line?

"Remove all the old oil and filter then toss in 6 quarts. Run it a bit, then mark the stick were Full should be. You'll be fine.
