"Johnson 6HP green in color. Says MAGFLASH CD on hood??I cannot see how to undo shifter linkage to replace the water pump. Please help thankx, Sam"
 
Take out the 4 bolts ---the lo

Take out the 4 bolts ---the lower unit can then be seperated to reveal the shift connecter.

However if it has CD ignition I think it must be a model from the late 1970s. If that is so then THIS DIAGRAM shows the connector on the shift link age and the water pump components."
