Tilt trim replacement

hey guys i am new to this site

hey guys i am new to this site. i am having a problem with my tilt trim motor.the old one was bad so i purchased a new one from arco and i installed it just like i removed the old one but for some reason it has power and i hear it running but it is not moving the engine.i believe i may have to bleed it. a sizable amout of oil ran out of the old one. does anyone have an idea as to how i bleed the system? by the way it is a evinrude V8 3.6 xp and there is 2 of them but only the left motor is bad

"The unit is self bleeding. Have the engine in the full tilted position. Fill the reservoir to overflowing. Make sure the manual release valve is closed.

If that doesn't do it, assuming you did have the electric motor armature slot inserted into the oil pump receptacle coupling, apply 7 to 12 pounds of air pressure to the reservoir. That air pressure will force the fluid into any air cavities that might exist, including the one that usually sits right under the oil pump."
