NA12S Control Box Kill Switch Stub fell out Help

"On my NA12S control box, the

"On my NA12S control box, the kill switch knob simply fell out, including a small black pin that is inside it. I can't tell how this thing connected to the control box... it could have been glued i guess ? Anyway, do i need to buy a completely new NA12S box or does anyone out there know of a permanent fix to refasten this black piece and pin ? Thanks"

"The same thing happened to me

"The same thing happened to me several years ago. What I did was to "by pass" the kill switch. Why bother with a kill switch anyway. If you want to stop the engine, simply turn the key off. Open up the control box and find the two loose wires that were ( or still are ) conected to the kill switch. If they arent already detached from the kill switch, cut them and join them together. Insulate them with a couple of turns of insulation tape & your done. Put the control box back together and don't worry about the hole left where your kill switch used to be}."
