Replacing Shift Cable on Honda 90

"I need to replace my shift Ca

"I need to replace my shift Cable on my 1999 Honda 90 4 stroke. I have removed the linkage from cable underneath the engine cover. i can not figure out how to "push" or "pull" the cable thru where it passes into the engine compartment. It seems maybe there is something holding in place, but its a very small space.

Any tips??

"Yes in one corner there are 2

"Yes in one corner there are 2 screws that need to be undone and a corner piece will lift out as well as the rubber grommet, this will make it much easier to get wires through. I did the same thing"
 
"actually there is three screw

"actually there is three screws holding the corner piece in place, two on top and one underneath. There is a small metal bar under the corner piece that holds the cables in place."
