"Just purchased a boat w/a merc 110. The previous owner didn't know anything about it(never used the boat) so I got it home cleaned the plugs(looked good) cleaned carb(varnished) and changed lower unit oil. I then pulled it twice and it purred like a kitten( I thought this is great)looking it over I noticed no water shooting out of it anywhere. This is my first encounter with a merc. what is the probable problem? impeller? water pump? Hard to change? I'm mechanically inclined, I just don't want to go tearing into this thing without some knowledge. Thanks, Matthew"
