"Got the old Deckboat/OMC 800
"Got the old Deckboat/OMC 800 tuned up and running great, only to end up with a hole in the hull. I talked to some repair people who told me the cost of the repairs were not practical due to the value of the boat, unless I do them myself. I've studied on it a bit and the process doesn't scare me, but I can't get at the damage from inside the boat. I am not set up to pull off the cap; I just don't have the space or eqipment or knowhow. The question: can I effectively repair the glass from outside in, instead of the traditional inside out method? I've seen some canoe repair methods for doing it from the outside, but this aint a canoe. Any help is greatly appreciated."
