I have just bought a used moto

I have just bought a used motor It run's fine untill I try to troll. It smokes me off the lake. I have checked the mixing ratio and have mixed it to 50/1.

Using the correct oil? An outboard engine oil to TCW-3 specification!

Absolutely sure you are measuring the oil correctly? 1 pint of oil to 6 gallons of gasoline in the archaic units used in the US or 20 cm³ per litre in the rest of the world.
