"I have twin 2006 D4 diesel volvo penta. The outdrive oil used to be a nice clear amber color when I'd change the gear oil in the outdrives. Now at 900 hours, the last two changes it has been differen: brown in one and black in the other and the last time it was ace black in the one and black with a greenish tint in the other. Well, that's after just 100 hours between changes. I'm thinking maybe some crappy oil was put in two times ago when we were in Cabo, Mexico, because right after that the color went to dark brown in the one and black in the other. So maybe it'll take several gear oil changes to flush it out. Every thing still seems to work fine, any ideas. Is black outdrive oil normal sometimes, any ideas on the green tint to the black in the one?"
