I have a Teleflex Seastar stee

I have a Teleflex Seastar steering piston that is leaking hydraulic fluid out of one end. A new piston is $450 and the seal kits are $40. They offer the seal kits with ball glands or the seals only. I ordered them with the ball gland but wonder if they are difficult to install. Thanks for any help.

"Please excuse me butting in but I am having trouble with the helm pump rather than the cylinder. Does any body have specific indtructions or procedures to replace the shaft seal on the Hynautic50 helm pump? I sure would appreciate the info. I would hate to open the pump and have all the springs throw out the pins, ball and what ever there is in there right out in my face and floor. Specific disasemly and re assembly is needed for the reseal of the shaft. Thanks in advance for your response."
