I noticed that my alternator w

I noticed that my alternator was not charging (via the voltmeter on dash). I also noticed that my purple wire broke off the lug.

Is it possible that the broken purple wire would cause my alternator not to charge?
 
i had the same problem with mi

i had the same problem with mine i took it to a small shop that rebuilds them and he told me that nothing was wrong with it so i went to put it back on and noticed that the purple wire was broken it has a little rubber box in the wire so i had to widdle some of the rubber away to get to the wire and then covered it with electrical tape. That fixed it........
