"I have a chance to buy a very nice 1994 Ranger bass boat with only 43 hours on the boat and motor, my worry is the motor is a Mercury 2.5 efi offshore motor with a hydraulic jack plate, everyone is telling me that it's too much motor for a bass boat and my boating experience. Any info would greatly be appreciated. Is the offshore motor a dependable motor or is it a high maintenance motor? Please help."
