Suzuki dt 40 1989; what would

Suzuki dt 40 1989; what would be if there is a proper way to by-pass oil injection...do I just disconnect wires??

"You can just run it out of oil and instead of disconnecting the wires, use a tielock to hold the sensor up. I have been told that if there is no problem with the oil injection to keep using mine. According to Suzuki mechanic they are very reliable even in older model units. Mine is an '86 and still works perfect."
