Thinking of trying synthetic oil Anyone made the switch

I have a 2000 Merc 250 EFI Sal

I have a 2000 Merc 250 EFI Saltwater Series. I have been using Merc Prem Plus. We do a lot of trolling. My thinking is the synthetic's may burn cleaner with less carbon build up. Maybe less smoke and slower rpm's. Anyone had any experince?

"Yep, Made the switch years ago to Amzoil. I use to use quicksliver and other premium brands but still had fouling problems. Switched to Amzoil products and have had great success over the last 10 years or so. You can find dealers on the net. Good luck!"
