"Hi everyone i`ve got a Evinrude 70hp 1976 motor that was given to me without cotrols. I belive the one it had were power pilot with the red 10 pin connector. Iam trying to get a set on ebay or if anyone has any for sale here. Can i use the newer version of the controls. Seen many on ebay they also have the red connector just not sure if they are compatible withmy engine. Could someone help me out with trying to match up a set thanks in advance

You need a set of controls with the " red plug " any control with the red plug will work.

Thanks guys so anyone with the red plug will work. Sorry jwbmarine not sure what you mean by plug ins. Do you mean were the cable ends clip on to the acceerator and (for rev gear)Thanks
