Anyone ever used a head gasket

Anyone ever used a head gasket for 68 chevy II car motor on a merc 120?
someone sugested it if I wanted a better seal to use it.

What do you think??

"marine head gaskets have stainless metal parts. automotive will rust. wont last at all in salt. same block, and head, basicaly. (153 c.i.)cant imagine any better sealing. if you're blowing head gaskets, better to find out why. can't see this doing any good, and could cause other problems."

"I have a 1966 MERCRUISER 18' 120hp. It has been in storage for ten years. It dose turn over but i found water in oil!!! If head is craked, can i replace with any 4cyl chev head? Didnt check head gasket for i went to buy one and they told me i would be wasting my time and that it would be a crack in the water port? I just bought this boat for 200.00 and dont know anything about them. can any one help with suggestions?? thanks!"
