"I just bought a 1992 90HP OB. The lower unit had been removed & all parts placed in a large plastic bin. Water got in & a light rust developed over all parts! Anyway I was told the engine had been running,he top turns buy hand, so not locked up. I was wondering if it's possible to rebuild this lower unit, and where I could get parts?
I see a couple parts are broken, but the larger gear parts look good (except rust). I was thinking of soaked in something to eat rust off. Anyone think it's worth it? Or should I find a new lower. the housing is in good shape.
