"Just bought the boat. Out of water and when I return the shift handle to the slowest forward position (after a little goose in forward) it appears to be trying to return to nuetral. I sometimes (not always) hear a little chatter from the outdrive for a few seconds but usually goes away and does it as well in reverse. Hopeing for a quick fix with the cable adjustment as the previous owner mentioned a shift problem the year before and replaced the shift handle himself. It has a chevy 350 engine (not certain of alpha or bravo for the outdrive) and did not notice a shift interrupter on the unit.
