98b Optimax oil leak

Have a 98 Optimax 135 leaking

Have a 98 Optimax 135 leaking oil from the powerhead down into the shaft and exiting midway down the shaft. Any ideas what this could be?
 
"I'd split the bottom cowl

"I'd split the bottom cowling, try to locate where the oil is coming from. If not positive of the source, clean off all excess oil and run motor, with the cowls off. You should be able to see now where the oil is coming from. Pay attention to the area around the oil pump and the lines."
