I have a mercury 1500 1973 tha

I have a mercury 1500 1973 that has good compression an all cylinder turns over fine but won't start. anyone have any ideas?

"Tim, You need to check for spark and fuel. If there is no spark or fuel in the carbs, it will not start.

Also, they need lots of choke to start. Spraying 50::1 fuel mix down the carbs is a good idea. Don't use ether-its bad for 2 cycle motors."
