"On my 79' Johnson 200 I took the starter off and cleaned it with electric motor cleaner. There was a buch of black soot in it. After puting it back together and mounting it, it wont turn the motor over. I took out the plugs and it turn over but with the plugs in it engages then nothing. Any advice would be appericated. I'm selling this boat so I don't want to spend $150.00 on a new motor but I want the thing to start when showing it to a buyer."
