after sitting for a few days e

after sitting for a few days engine fires right up then abruptly stops. Can be restarted only after bleeding system. Have replaced the check valve fitting that connects to the fuel filter fitting. all was fine for a week but problem returned. Any help would be appreciated.

How old are the rubber fuel lines?
 
The only rubber fuel line is b

The only rubber fuel line is between racor 500 filter & lift pump & is a few years old. I am planning to replace all lines from tanks to engine fuel filter with new neoprene lines as a first step as they are copper & are old. As I have replaced the check valve & the problem has returned I assume there must be an undetected air leak.Would appreciate any further help.
