My 90 horse

"Hello everyone,
My 90 horse Evin normally has a WOP of 5000.
My last time out, it would max at 3500 and then intermittently increase to 4500. I found one plug that seems to be more covered with more oil than the others. I believe its ignition,and not a carb, but do you think its a plug, a plug wire or the Elec Ignition system? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Old motor - that's a 1955, twin cylinder, 5 horse that was sold by Goodyear Rubber Company under that brand name.

The motor itself was built by Gale, which was a division of OMC (johnson/evinrude). You may have better luck finding a manual/some parts for an old Gale.

The direct Gale equivalent was the Gale "Buccaneer" model 5D11B..."
