I have 1992 Evinrude.
I just did a numbnuts thing. Its mid winter here and I gave the ob a run. To jump start it I used my Ford truck but I accidently used 24 volts.
Its running ok but I presume I would have smoked the regulator.
With it running on the water ears I cant get the revs up enough to get a reading on the voltmeter.
Even before this it would only read a charge when the boat was on the water .
Is there some checks I can do on the charging system with putting the boat in the water
Thanks
Ted
