I'm going to be putting my motor back into the boat this week which is mounted to a D/P 290 O/D. I'm wondering if it is acceptable practice to reuse the 2 large clamping O rings over again and if so do you recommend a sealer for them.

"I always have reused them, provided they are not badly deformed (unevenly crushed, chunks missing, etc). I also coat them with Perfect Seal or similar non-hardening gasket compound."
