"Can anyone tell me what the track record on these motors is like, i'm considering puchasing a parker 2100 cc that has this motor with about 300 hours and has been well maintained"
 
I have a 2001 Yamaha 200 salt

I have a 2001 Yamaha 200 salt water series and is very relaible and always starts without an hesitation. But like any motor maintenance is the key. I have my annual maintenance done by an authorized Yamaha dealer to make sure I have not missed anything. Strong motor and I trust it with my family.
