This motor is a recent repower

This motor is a recent repower and it gets hot in about 1 minute of wot and starts to blow a cloud of steam instead of a stream of water. When I slow down the stream of water returns to normal. I pulled the lower unit to find a normal supple impeller and a clean pickup tube. This motor does feel extreamly hot when the steam is rolling behind the boat. The tiny screens where the intake is are clean as well. If any one has a helpfull tip I would thank you.

I have a 20" shaft motor on a 25" transom boat
That causes the water intake to take on air when the boat is at WOT
Hope yours isn't the same, as I'm looking at a motor swap}"
