Timming with a pertronix conversion

Have a AQ 125B on a 19' ba

Have a AQ 125B on a 19' bayliner. Just installed a pertronix conversion and a flame thrower coil.When I time the engine at 800 rpm and set my timming at 6 degrees and then check it at 4200 rpm my timming is only at 29 degrees. To set it at 34 degrees my idle timming is at 9 degrees. Is this okay or does any one have any ideas?
 
With 91 octane you can set the

With 91 octane you can set the idle timing to 9-10ºBTDC and see how it goes. Just make sure you don't use regular gasoline without either adding octane booster or retarding the timing again.

"Not to hijack the post, but I'm doing the same thing but with a 225E (5.0). What should I set the timing at running 87 octane? I know it is supposed to be 8* with 91 octane."
