Timming with a pertronix conversion

Have a AQ 125B on a 19' ba

Have a AQ 125B on a 19' bayliner. Just installed a pertronix conversion and a flame thrower coil.When I time the engine at 800 rpm and set my timming at 6 degrees and then check it at 4200 rpm my timming is only at 29 degrees. To set it at 34 degrees my idle timming is at 9 degrees. Is this okay or does any one have any ideas?
 
With 91 octane you can set the

With 91 octane you can set the idle timing to 9-10ºBTDC and see how it goes. Just make sure you don't use regular gasoline without either adding octane booster or retarding the timing again.
